This project required construction of a clean tunnel enclosure for the work zone. A forty foot cleanroom wall was removed, eight utilities were modified to fit the new stepper tool, laser and heat exchanger. A hot tap into existing Process Cooling Water main lines was necessary to allow all critical adjacent R&D, manufacturing and testing operations to proceed uninterrupted.

Work was stopped several times for varying periods to allow critical laser tests to proceed safely. Nonetheless, the project achieved the schedule milestone permitting this important new product to go into operation on time.
