Hannspree, a Taiwan-based manufacturer of specialty LED television products, needed to rapidly mobilize its US operations by building out office, manufacturing and distribution spaces simultaneously within this 80,000 square foot building shell. Meade Construction Group, Inc. executed the design and construction of the administrative office spaces. This included renovation of existing spaces into an executive headquarters facility and construction of new product demonstration room, employee lounge and support facilities carved out of former warehouse space.
Simultaneous erection of manufacturing, quality control and distribution racking projects adjacent to the offices introduced permitting and occupancy complications which required extensive intervention and coordination by Meade’s superintendent and the design team. Working with the City Building Department we modified extensive wall bracing details to keep diagonal braces on the new walls from interfering with the movable racks. |
