This project involved complete updating and renovation to a large on-campus 1970’s-era student residence.
The building structure was upgraded from the foundation through the shear walls to the roof.
A major kitchen demolition and renovation sub-project featured new Altro flooring, new kitchen equipment and connection to all process and electrical systems.
Interior architectural improvements included finishes in all student bedrooms and common rooms with updated carpet, paint and student accessories.
Exterior architectural improvements included reuse of donated pavers for walkways, relocated trees from other Stanford buildings and waterproofing of wood shingle siding.
The project was deemed Stanford Housing’s “best project ever.”
